Saturday 24th January 2026, A big thank you to all the DVTR members who volunteered Chopwell Wood parkrun. Leaflets were handed out at the parkrun to runners advertising up and coming 'Derwent Valley Trail Relays' event.

DVTR Relay Event

Sunday 25th January 2026 congratulations to Jim Rickard and Kate Donnelly on completing the 'Wild Deer Druridge Bay' half marathon. Kate finished 4th in her age category in a time of 1:58:19 whilst Jim was only a few places behind finishing in a time of 1:58:39. 


Saturday 31st January 2026 is the next NEHL cross country race at Temple Park Leisure Centre in South Shields. This is the one race on the cross country calendar that isn't a team event. Points are awarded to each runner towards the 'Individual Grand Prix' league table only.
