Sunday 4 October 2026 marked the 10th anniversary of the Derwent Valley Trail Runners' Red Kite Race'. From an entry of 21 runners, the race was won by Alex Kiel in a time of 57 minutes 44 seconds. The first female finisher was Caroline Slane from our near neighbours, Blackhill Bounders, who completed the course in 1 hour 12 minutes 49 seconds. 

A big thank you to everybody who entered and who took part in the race. A big thank you also to the many volunteers who helped to make this race possible. The race will return in 2027 moving back to it's original date in July.
